This is an awesome book. My review is as a healthcare provider and as someone who has used this book in my own life. It is my breast bible. There is a lot of good, basic information about the breast, mammograms, etc, that is good info to share if you are raising daughters. But most importantly there is a ton of information about breast cancer and will likely answer almost any question one would have if you or someone you love has been diagnosed with breast cancer. It also helps identify questions or things to ask or talk to your doctor about. It is easy to read--like Dr. Loving was sitting having a chat with you. Knowledge is power and this book certainly provides the knowledge. If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with breast cancer, I very, very highly recommend this book. I cannot say enough good things about this book.

"This book was lifesaver", that's what my cousin's wife told me. So I bought a book for each of my daughters-in-law and my daughter. I read the book given to me by a breast-cancer survivor, and I read it cover-to-cover. One of my daughters-in-law is a nurse and said this book ought to be required reading for all nurses."If only" I'd read the book a few months earlier, I would have been that much ahead on my chemo. This book is for any and all women, not just cancer patients, because it covers many common concerns women are reluctant to talk about or don't think to ask about. So buy the book and READ the book, if for no other reason than to follow along with what a friend or relative is going through. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Love's book. This is a real service she's done for us and our "boobs."

This is the only book you will ever need for your boobs. I am a survivor and got this book when I had cancer 15 years ago. Decided to go ahead and update it with this edition since my original has fallen apart from use. If you want the facts, then this is the book to buy. I like to know what is going on with my body---not too much into the "touchy-feely" books since everyone's story is different--and this book put me at ease every step of the way. It helped me to know if or when I might need to go to a doctor. It helped me understand test results It helped me figure out what to ask the doctor.

My oncologist recommended this book. I found it to be very informative, and detailed. However, everything is explained in terms that are relatable. It is also written by a survivor who is also a doctor. Can't beat the combo. I would recommend this book to anyone who is or has faced the breast cancer reality. I have spoken to others who have read the book after treatment, and they have said, it brings clarity to the process.

Probably more than you want to know on the subject, but certainly helpful for someone newly diagnosed with breast cancer. There were a couple of things I tried to look up in the index that weren't there though, so it may not answer all your questions, but it's a very good place to begin.

Dr. Susan Love’s Book outlines everything in layman language. I have used this book as my Bible of information n kept a Journey book.

An amazing book of knowledge that EVERY woman diagnosed with breast cancer, should read. Written by a great surgeon, who shares not only the options but the pros, cons, and details of tests, procedures, historical data, latest research and more. Undetstanding more about my diagnosis, knowing more specifics about upcoming tests and reading recommendations about what questions to ask my doctors, eased many of the fears I had. Thank you, Dr Love for sharing so much needed information!

This book should be in every woman's library whether she has breast cancer or not. We face many breast health scares in the courses of our lives. I have found this book indispensable in presenting facts, options, opinions in a forthright yet gentle manner. I've even laughed a few times, despite myself. Facing some issues yet again, I "traded up" from my old second edition to this latest, sixth edition. Still good advice, and more of it.
